Each box has a wood top covered with a bold graphic paper that is decoupaged, and the corners are fitted by hand with copper tape. All of the materials are made in the USA except for the ink that is used for printing, and our final products are also created here in our historic Hudson Valley, NY, studios.
I have collected vintage paper goods for more that 20 years. I have been digging through my collection recently and came across 2 sets of vintage cigarette cards with signs of Zodiac. The cards are amazing and they fit my matchboxes perfectly.
There are 2 different sets, the colored set is, Mogul Egyptian Cigarettes. These are from the 1920's, each telling a story of the horoscope for 12 months. The second are Will's Cigarette(British) cards from the same time period, each a charm representing the Zodiac sign of each month.
The cards are simply wonderful, of the front are these beautiful images and on the back is a story each of the cigarette companies tell of that particular month. I will include a copy of the back of the cards for you to enjoy with the matches.
